What we take on

Why green pools come back

A green pool is usually two problems at once: the chemistry has gone, and the filtration is not keeping up. Treating only the first is why so many owners get a brief improvement and then watch it go green again a week later.

How long a recovery takes depends on how far it has gone and how much filtration the pool has. We will give you a realistic picture at the start rather than an optimistic one.

Occasionally the honest answer is that draining and refilling is cheaper than recovering the water. If that is your situation, we will say so.

He communicates well and follows through with what he promises.

Could not be happier with Andrew and his team. They even took time to explain various parts of my equipment so I can better maintain them myself.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to clear a green pool?

Usually a matter of days rather than hours, and it depends on how far gone it is and how well the pool filters. Anyone promising an instantly clear pool is guessing.

Is it cheaper to just drain it?

Sometimes, and we will tell you when that is the case. Draining is not risk-free either, particularly with a high water table or an older shell, so it is a judgement call rather than an automatic answer.

Can I swim as soon as it is clear?

Clear and balanced are not the same thing. We will tell you when the water is genuinely safe to use.

Why did it go green in the first place?

Usually a run of hot weather plus a filtration or circulation shortfall, or a pool left unattended. Part of the job is telling you which, so it does not simply repeat.

Do you take on pools at vacant properties?

Yes. Rentals, sales and probate properties are common, and we can work with an agent or manager rather than the owner directly.
