Could not be happier with Andrew and his team. They even took time to explain various parts of my equipment so I can better maintain them myself.
Cleaning & restoration
For a pool whose plaster has gone past what brushing and chemicals will fix. We will also tell you when an acid wash is the wrong answer, because it is a job that takes a layer off your surface every time.
Acid washing across the Dallas-Fort Worth area|4.8 stars from 47 Google reviews
The pool is drained and the surface pressure washed to take off loose debris before any acid goes near it.
Roughly one part muriatic acid to ten parts water, adjusted to how heavy the staining actually is.
The surface is worked by hand and rinsed, then done again until the staining is actually gone rather than faded.
A neutralising solution brings the pH back, then a chlorine shock deals with anything that took hold while the pool sat empty.
Refilled, then pH, chlorine, alkalinity, hardness and total dissolved solids all checked back into range.
Pump, filter, heater and chlorinator run and verified, and cartridges cleaned or replaced if they need it.
An acid wash strips the top layer off the plaster, so it is a job you want done correctly and not often. Done well it takes a pool that looks past saving back to something close to new. Done badly, or repeated too many times, it thins the surface and shortens the life of the finish.
That is the honest trade-off, and it is why we will tell you if a stain is better handled another way, or if your plaster has already had as many acid washes as it can take.
You get a written summary of what was done and what the water was reading when we left, plus a follow-up to confirm the chemistry held.

His willingness to do more than he says he will is refreshing.
Once we found All Aquatic Pools, we have never had a reason to go anywhere else. Andrew and his crews always do good work at a fair price.
They say what they are going to do, and do what they said they are going to do.
You will never encounter a more professional and knowledgeable team.
Usually a day or two of work, but the pool is out of use longer than that because of the drain and refill either side. We will give you a realistic window when we look at it.
It removes a thin layer of it, which is how it works. On sound plaster that is fine. On a surface that is already thin or has been acid washed several times, we will tell you before starting rather than after.
No, and anyone who says otherwise is guessing. Organic staining and general discolouration usually come up well. Deep metal staining and some mineral deposits may not fully clear, and we would rather say that up front.
Yes, the refill goes on your water bill. On a typical pool that is a real cost worth knowing about before you commit.
No. An acid wash cleans the existing plaster. Resurfacing replaces it. If the plaster is failing rather than just stained, an acid wash is not the fix and we will say so.
